• Crowd Warm-up Video for Dubstep Performance

I just got the link for this video. This is a video I edited for a video projection before a performance (to get the crowd warmed up). The stop motion of the worms was shot using a Canon DSLR with Magic Lantern, and assembled in After Effects. DaVinci Resolve was used for a lot of color correction. You can find a lot of great information about DaVinci Resolve by going to The Tao of Color or reading Color Grading Central. […]

  • Music in High Places Promo – edited by Dugmoore and Spencer Thornton

Once again, a blast from the past with a promo I edited for Producer / Writer Spencer Thornton.  Spencer  was the creative driving force behind all of his projects, and I’m looking forward to the day when we work together again. It was great to find this clip of his work on youtube, and it brought back fantastic memories. The thing that I realized while working on MIHP was that I love working on music driven projects, regardless of the genre. MIHP had diverse […]

  • TV Pilot (Thailand) – Video Editor

I supported the Producer, Dave Kendall, by helping him as a video editor in Bangkok. It was a challenge due to my limited ability to speak Thai, and a Thai editor had to do the finishing touches. Overall it was a great experience and Dave Kendall is a great person to work with. This was a multicamera shoot, and the Avid is great when editing multi-cam shows. It makes the creative choices go smoothly, so you don’t have to think so […]

  • ENG Work Sample

This is a video about a photographer based in Cambodia since 2002 as he talks about his work. As a mobile video editor, I often get the chance to travel throughout Thailand, Cambodia and Laos. I am inspired by the scenery and people living in Southeast Asia. I sometimes shoot and produce videos in addition to editing. This was one of those times. I made this one a while back on a trip to Phnom Penh, a town that was home […]

  • 21st Century Learning Promotional Video

This was created from video from the 21st Century Learning Conference in Hong Kong. I wrote and directed the voice over, as well as created graphics from stock images, and incorporated my After Effects skills to put the opener together.Editing it all together was a breeze in Avid Media Composer 6.5. Hong Kong is a great city to visit and work in, and I am glad to have been a part of a great conference on a great location, and […]

  • 21st Century Learning Conference – Keynote speaker opening video

On this promo I  was merging various After Effects projects and making significant changes to the templates provided, as well as creating a new intro for the conference. This is one of several videos that I assembled and altered that would be played before various keynote speakers at the conference in Hong Kong.

  • 21st Century Learning International Conference Opener 2013

On this promo I was merging various After Effects projects and making significant changes to the templates provided, as well as creating a new intro for the conference. In most cases I go and forth editing video in Avid, and then working with the video in After Effects. Sometimes I simply stay in After Effects to complete the entire project, and that can be a fun thing to do as well. Both are great tools to work with, and I’m […]

  • Collective Soul – Behind the Scenes in Morocco

I edited the Behind the Scenes videos for Music in High Places for first season of the series. This is one BTS episode of the band Collective Soul as they played acoustic covers of their songs at many historic places in the cinematic country of Morocco. It was a great team, as always, with Spencer Thornton producing and writing the BTS segments, and additional support from Steve Plotkin.  These are on the “Extra Features” of the disc versions of the show, along with the web versions of the […]

  • DEN – A Blast From the Past

Part of this compilation includes work that I collaborated on as a video editor while at Digital Entertainment Network. Specifically, you can see part of my editing starting at 1:32 where the guy puts a needle through part of his body, and where the contortionist does his thing. I also worked on many of the Direct Drive shows (this follows Dented and ends at 3:00). I did some work on Punk Planet, which was a lot of fun too. To […]

  • Pearson Conference Video

    Pearson Conference Video

One of my repeat clients had me create a presentation video in After Effects for Pearson. It was presented at a conference in Hong Kong as an opener to the teacher and school of the year awards ceremony. Working with a lot of text can be a bit tricky creatively, as the audiences can tend to get a bit bored, but people reported that this worked well with the awards ceremony.

Feature Film Editing- with RED, Avid and Davinci

This was a great project to do post on.  I was an additional editor, along with Colorist Alex Marshal, and the post production was made possible by James Iles of Mufasa Video in Thailand. We supported P. Gai, a talented commercial editor that has been long established in Bangkok. P. Gai is a great editor, and a fantastic person to work with. Feature film editing is always a very different thing to work with than music videos, reality TV, or […]

How cool is that?! To make things even better, there will be some prizes, such as plugins from Red Giant and New BLue FX, and someone has offered up some […]
